In 1964, the Rosati brothers opened the first Rosati’s in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. From day one, our family has been committed to serving authentic Chicago pizza and Italian classics made the right way—no added preservatives, no tomato paste fillers, no hormones, and flour that’s never bleached or bromated.

OUR STORY

1895

Ferdinand Rosati, an Italian immigrant from the region of Naples, Italy, opened a fine-dining Pizzeria and Italian restaurant on Coney Island, NY.




1930

Ferdinand moved to Chicago and started another Italian restaurant on Chicago’s famous Taylor Street. 

1964

In 1964, our founders opened the first Rosati's Pizza in Mt. Prospect, IL.

1978

By 1978 ten Rosati family members owned carryout pizzerias. With Rosati's established in Chicago, the family began franchising Rosati’s Pizza.

1999

The fourth generation of the Rosati family proudly opens the very first Rosati’s Pizza, continuing a legacy dating back decades.

2025

Rosati’s Pizza wins WGN’s Chicago Pizza Madness, voted the best Chicago pizza by the people.

TODAY

Today, the Rosati’s brand has grown to more than 120 restaurants across America, while staying true to the same recipes and traditions that started it all.
